At Lea Valley Church we aim to serve and reach the community through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Lea Valley Church has been in Waltham Abbey forr over 50 years and has been involved in areas of the community during that time.
 
Apart from holding Sunday service at our nelwy refurbished church building in the heart of the Town Center (Monkswood Avenue), throughout the week there are other regular events and ministries taking part throughout the area (click here to see upcoming events)

    Lea Valley Church understands that it's todays youth that will be tomorrows great leaders.  Our vision is to see the youth and young adults of Lea Valley Church discover their God given talents and run with God given purpose in the quest to see God's name lifted high!

     

    We believe that now is our time to make God famous... to allow God to be seen in our lives and for our Godly lives to make a difference and to be an impact on those around us. 


    We invite all those with this passion to tie up your laces and join us in running this unforgetable race.

    Seniors Together

    This is a chance for people who consider themselves in their 'senior years' of life to meet together.

    There are 2 opportunities for our seniors to get together; Monday group and Wednesday Group. 

    We enjoy delicious home-baking and various activities such as arts, crafts, painting, bingo and the like.  From time to time we enjoy day trips to local nursuries or further afield.

    When:

    Every Monday: 13.00 - 15.00

    or
    Every Wednesday: 13.00 - 15.00


    Where:

    The Hut, Sewardstone Street, Waltham Abbey

    (30 meters on left as you turn into Sewardstone Street)

    Art Class

    This is an opportunity for artist of ALL levels of experience and expertise to meet together and be creative.  There is no 'lesson' as such - please bring your own equipment (paints, pencils, brushes, paper etc.) and get busy being creative.

    Tea Dance

     

     

     

     

    Who says the quick step is dead?  It is alive and well - keeping company with young hearts and nimble feet at our Tuesday Tea Dance.  If you enjoy good food, great company and love that old time music, this group could be just what you need.  Come and find out.

    Corporate Prayer

     

     

    Each Friday evening we meet to worship and pray corporately.  It has been said that prayer does not fit us for the greater work - prayer IS the greater work.  We pray together because the needs of our nation and those who live here are many and too great for our good ideas alone.  We need to meet God in our prayers - corporately seeking Him until the life blood that flows from such communion, finds it's way into every strategy and every praying heart. 

    A time to unite and agree as a community as we petition the Lord.  Please join us.

    Shared Lunch

     

     

    Every 2nd Sunday of the month Lea Valley Church join together for a shared lunch.  Please invite friends and family to this service as the emphasis is on great fellowship.  Lunch follows a shortened morning service and we should bring delicious food - sufficient to share and be enjoyed by all.

    We also invite our roofless friends from London to this event and any donations of good quality street wear (mainly mens wear i.e. jumpers, jeans, jackets, trainers, sleeping bags, toiletries, scarves and gloves for the winter) are appreciated.

    When:
    Every 2nd Sunday of the month: Straight after morning service
