Lea Valley Church has had a witness here in Waltham Abbey since 1943 as was known as Waltham Abbey Pentecostal church pastored by Mr and Mrs Tribe. The Church met in a small building, now affectionately known as the hut, with a faithful core of believers. In 1990 New Zealanders Geoff and Bo Ace arrived with their two kids, Josh and Hayley, from the mission field, after having lived and served in Kenya.  At heart Geoff and Bo always have been missionaries who love God and love people.

Under their leadership the Church thrived and soon outgrew the hut, moving to Bullsmoor Lane school in Enfield, where it continued to grow until the Lord led them back to Waltham Abbey to meet in the hall at King Harold School. As they sought God, they felt it was time to for LVC as it became known, to have its own building eventually purchasing the then Catholic Church building in a prominent place in Waltham Abbey town.

They have been 10 years in this building, most recently renovating the inside to reflect who we are as a Church, removing the pews, and adding our own flavour to the decor. In September 2020 their time of senior leadership came to an end when they handed over the senior responsibility to Tim and Hayes. LVC is healthy, thriving and e believe positioned for even greater years of impact, salvation and life changing stories of people of all ages finding Jesus for the first time! We hope you will join us on your own journey of faith and may find LVC is home, where you can lay down roots, flourish in your call and serve the purpose of God in your generation!
